DECISION MAKING
All applications received are initially checked to confirm they meet our eligibility criteria. Applications that meet our eligibility criteria will then be assessed for possible shortlisting.
The shortlist is then presented to a special meeting of the trustees for their consideration and decisions will be taken on which applications will be funded. The decisions of the trustees are final.
APPROVAL AND NOTIFICATION
Once the trustees have made their decisions, we aim to notify all applicants of the results within 21 days.
Applicants who have been successful will then receive a formal Letter of Offer setting out the terms of the approved grant which must be signed and returned before the grant is released. As all grants are paid by BACS transfer it is essential that your bank details, ideally as a copy of your bank statement, is included with the signed Letter of Offer.
FEEDBACK
Feedback is important to us and we want to learn from our grant-giving, so we can ensure our funds are distributed in the most effective way. For this reason, individuals and organisations receiving a grant from us will be sent an Evaluation Form with the Letter of Offer.
We require all recipients of a grant to complete a report on the use of the grant and recipients will be encouraged to report on the difference the grant has made. The nature and timing of a report will be determined by the type and duration of the project or activity funded by the grant. In some cases, trustees may wish to visit an organisation or attend any event organised by, or featuring the work of, the recipient.
