Examples of the types of grant the Trust provides to individuals typically include:
- Costs of attending training or educational courses, workshops, conferences etc
- The purchase of equipment, materials, tools and instruments
- The purchase of learning materials for students attending schools, colleges, universities and other educational establishments
- Assistance towards the costs (entry fees, travel and accommodation etc.) for attending or participating in regional, national or international arts activities and events
- Costs associated with individuals promoting and marketing their work
The Trust is looking for applicants who are able to demonstrate
- enthusiasm for and commitment to their art
- ability or promise in their artistic discipline
- a genuine need for financial support to pursue their goals
Examples of types of grants JPT provide to charitable organisations:
- Projects involved in promoting and supporting young people in the creative arts
- Costs for individuals or groups of young people wishing to further their studies at learning events at educational facilities, including residential establishments
- Cost of organising public events, exhibitions and competitions that reach out to new audiences and that promote new young artists in the fields of music and the visual arts
We are unable to fund:
- Projects and events that have been completed
- Management/staffing costs and overheads for organisations
- General appeals for funding submitted without specific details of activities and events
- Large scale capital projects
- Repairs to buildings
